Twenty years of the Nike Air Max 97 Silver Bullet with Italian soccer star Federico Bernardeschi

Fans amassed at the LUISAVIAROMA Store in the heart of Florence on the 14th of April to commemorate 20 years of the Nike icon. First released in 1997, the OG Silver Bullet has earnt its place amongst the most sought after sneakers. Its reflective fluid lines and silvery tones inspired by Japan’s bullet trains defined an era of big design with a futuristic approach, and no true collector would be caught without at least one pair of the retro kicks in their haul.

To commemorate the milestone and in honor of the exclusive re-release, Nike partnered with professional soccer player Federico Bernardeschi. The Fiorentina right-winger, who made his international debut for Italy in 2016, presented and signed the limited-edition Revolution Pack for LUISAVIAROMA: a special box that combines the Air Max 97 and its football inspired boot, the Magista Obra II, released in a new ‘Silver Bullet’ colorway.

When I was in middle school, I remember going crazy over these shoes that were silver and gold
