How will you be celebrating the Lunar New Year?
Here in the Netherlands we still have restrictions – we are not allowed to invite any guests to come to our place and my family is in Thailand. It is difficult for me to fly back, so I will be celebrating safely at home and do a zoom call with them. We used to go out on Lunar New Year to watch the dragon parade in the evening. It is very famous in my hometown. But this year I will probably watch it on the internet.

Since last year, in what ways have you changed or grown?
2020 was a hard year for us. I think everyone changed, and probably in a good way. Since everyone had a chance to listen to themselves more. I realised how important our health is and how important it is to take care of each other. İ learned to understand the value of what İ have. I’m very grateful for my friends and family, and being away from them makes me realise how special they are to me.

I feel like I have grown a lot last year. Not being able to travel and with self Isolation, I had to keep myself motivated and staying creative – for example how to make the most out of the limited space I had for shooting the content at home. Never realised how much fun I had doing it. Overall, 2020 wasn’t too bad for me. I found many positives and learned so much. I am so grateful for all the opportunities I have had last year!

First of all I want myself and the people around me to be as good and joyful as possible. Nothing else seems to matter to me that much anymore. And I really do hope that we can go back to a more normal life and see our families and friends soon.

Professionally I want to start new activities and work behind the camera as art director or stylist and I hope the New Year will bring this opportunity to me!

There are few fashion trends that I am looking to rock this year like Good trench, bold shoulders, floaty maxi dresses, Cut-outs, netting or something pretty red and pastel.

I think 2020 has taught me to not plan too far ahead and be open to different opportunities. I’ve realised the importance of being open minded- for everything, and to be constantly learning or challenging yourself in different ways. With that being said, health is wealth! How will you be celebrating the Lunar New Year?
I’ll be celebrating CNY with my parents in northern California. One of the most important changes I’ve made since last year was finding the balance of life. Before the pandemic, I would say I was a workaholic. Although I am grateful for many amazing work opportunities and to be able to travel around the world, I wasn’t able to see my family as often, especially during various holidays. In 2020, this changed drastically and definitely shifted my perspective. It felt good to slow down my working schedule and spend quality time with the family, and knowing that friends and family are staying healthy is the best feeling ever.

Comfort played a huge role in 2020 and I would love to continue incorporating more timeless spring-ready knits for the upcoming season, especially paired with ’70s edge denim that are high waisted and loose in the leg for ultimate comfort. In contrast, I’d love to add some red into the wardrobe, a powerful shade of passion and energy yet romantic – perfect attitude for 2021.
