Zanotta

Zanotta has been recognized as a leader in Italian industrial design ever since it was founded in 1954 by Aurelio Zanotta. It gained international acknowledgment starting in the 1960s due to the research, innovation and quality materials used in the creation of its products. Along with the values that make it famous, Zanotta is known for adapting to cultural and social changes leaving the brand free to constantly interpret and create contemporary styles. Aurelio Zanotta explains, in his own words, this blending of ideas and how his intuition helped make his company what it is today; "During the 1950s and 1960s, the furniture and furnishing accessories industry was bubbling over with creativity. Some firms, which currently are leaders in the industrial design field and have gained international stature, were sharp enough then to grasp the core of the design and manufacturing issue. It was possible to produce both profits and culture, at the same time."
