Ottolinger was founded by Cosima Gradient and Christa Bösch, two Swiss women who met during their studies at the Basel School of Design. As their friendship deepened, they realized they shared common tastes and a similar approach to life. Through the Ottolinger brand, Gradient and Bösch wish to convey contemporary themes with an intense focus on pattern and shape and deconstructed fine materials. The brand’s deconstructivism is at once sensuous and pragmatic, invested in sartorial experimentation and ecological enquiry.
