LuisaViaRoma headed to Albania for a fashion feature with content creator, Flicka Elisa. Invoking an aesthetic that is reminiscent of memories that are waiting to be created, Flicka takes us in a hazy dream world. A cocktail of faded polaroids, a certain perfume, and the comforting touch of a cashmere blanket, her otherworldly work stirs up a combination of emotions for viewers.
Take a deep breath and imagine yourself immersed in the nature of Albania. A rarity in the fashion world, Flicka finds inspiration for her unique and coveted vision in the countryside and films. Creativity is a form of escaping the normality of everyday. The splendor of the outdoors and the local culture come together to give way to a new creative light.
Your photos have a beautiful mood. Sometimes they seem to convey a certain time or feel. Do you prefer the summer or winter?
I prefer spring and summer! I don’t like the cold, brrr!!!
What inspires you the most?
I become inspired by my deep way of thinking about things and people.
For myself, what I do is a way of escaping normality.
Obviously; movies, music, and nature are some of my inspirations but it’s not only that, I gain so much inspiration from people with new perspectives and courageous people.
What is something about you that would surprise people?
I used to sing when I was little in festivals. All of my childhood was about sports and music.
I still love both of them and I would like to return to exploring music.
What’s your idea of the perfect sunday?
I don’t have a perfect Sunday on mind to be honest, maybe sleeping more! Lol
Which is your favorite film and why?
I have a lot of favorites movies, but I will start with the directors who really inspired me by means of their aesthetics and style. Such as: Jean Luc Godard, Èric Rohmer, Wes Anderson, Xavier Dolan, Sofia Coppola, and Claire Denis.
Lost In Translation is one of my favorites, if I had to choose one. I like the melancholy, the elegant language, and the way of searching and finding a connection.
What is your favorite scent and what memories does it bring up?
All my favorite scents are connected with people , memories and places, it’s a little bit difficult to describe them in one word.
Who would you like to artistically collaborate with?
Maybe with some of the directors I said in the beginning. It would be a dream come true to act in some of their movies- ahhhh!!!!
If you could have anyone over for dinner. Who would you invite (3 people) and what would you cook or order?
I would love to have a chat with Patti Smith. I find her to be a special human. Maybe just Patti and I?! With some pasta and white wine?! Why not?
