GIABORGHINI is breathing new life into the footwear market by marrying forward design with expert Italian craftsmanship to create the utmost beautiful and powerful designs for women around the world. Inspired by and led by women, Florentine entrepreneur-designer Barbara Borghini touts that 90% of her staff identifies as female –– and it’s been an organic market differentiator for the label. “I believe that as a group of women designing and creating for women, who can better understand this than ourselves?” says Borghini. And, this feminine touch shows through her designs as each pair of shoes upholds a careful attention to detail while infusing a flirtatious yet sophisticated energy. Plus, GIABORGHINI has built long-lasting relationships with the industry’s most trusted insiders. “We launched SS22 last month [January], the first collection with Pernille Teisbaek in her new role as Creative Consultant, by revealing a fresh new visual identity and logo,” she tells LVR. Next month, the brand will continue its collaboration with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley through GIA/RHW Collection 3 that offers a foray into new categories.

This feminine touch shows through her designs as each pair of shoes upholds a careful attention to detail while infusing a flirtatious yet sophisticated energy.

This season, tastemaker Evangelie Smyrniotaki (also known as @styleherione on Instagram) and Amotea’s designer Diletta Amodei have teamed up to create a collection rooted in timelessness, for pieces that transcend the restrictions of day-versus-night dressing and possess a seasonless appeal. Intense, confident and elegantly modern, the collection comprises revitalized staples of the 1990s and early 2000s that have undergone a sophisticated twist. Founded in 2016, influencer and designer Sami Miró introduced Sami Miro Vintage, a label specializing in limited-run collections crafted from up-cycled vintage and eco fabrics derived from organic plants. This season, she will launch her first full-fledged collection. The female-founded, POC-owned label has an undoubtedly sultry, cool-girl slant that’s been approved by the likes of Bella, Gigi and Anwar Hadid; Kendall Jenner, and Kaia Gerber –– just to name a few. In her newest drop, discover monochromatic sets done in sexy, sheer fabrics, asymmetrical hemlines and unexpected seamwork. Plus, SMV’s supply chain starts and ends in Los Angeles for a minimal carbon footprint, which has been a driving factor in earning its reputation as the “it” sustainable label.

Savette embodies the storied traditions of artisanal leather craftsmanship through a modern lens. Before the label was established in 2020, founder Amy Zurek spent time at new-age luxury houses like The Row and Khaite. Her careful eye and of-the-moment taste has led to an inaugural collection of pieces that are refined and intuitively functional. Rendered in fine Italian leather, the Symmetry collection offers sleek, linear design in handheld and crossbody iterations, while the Tondo delves in the beauty of curvature for everyday wear, and the Tote achieves perfect carry-all status with its clean, minimal lines and functional hardware. Each piece is thoughtfully made by hand outside of Florence by third-generation artisans. Case in point: Savette is surely an accessories label to watch.
