Emerging luxury handbag designer, Marina Raphael, has partnered with LUISAVIAROMA to collaborate on a sustainable handbag line, and is apart of the #LVRSustainable project. Marina Raphael hosted a dinner with LUISAVIAROMA, to celebrate the launch of their sustainable handbag line at LVR Sustainable. The event took place at the iconic Mark’s Club, where guests had an exclusive view of the collaboration.
Marina Raphael works with skilled local artisans in Florence and is an active supporter of family
businesses and local economies. This not only benefits society, but reduces the amount of fuel and energy-consuming techniques required for every product, and therefore minimizes their environmental impact. A guided and focused use of natural materials, which include leather, shearling, and cotton,
aligns them with their path of sustainability.
Other than their biodegradable quality, the process in which the pieces are produced is carefully monitored to ensure that that the aesthetic matches their ethical standards. By vigilant tanning small quantities of leather they consume less water and energy, while synchronously their near-0 waste
the policy urges them to actively utilize every inch of material, pushing their creative boundaries to reinvent them in new forms. Their core partner, Swarovski, not only oversees the production as a whole, but it also shares their deep commitment to this planet.
