Which is your favorite area of your house?
My favorite place in the house is what we like to call the bar-room; since it has a bar. It was an add-on built in the sixties, and I heard it had purple shag carpet and many good times. The energy is intense in that room; when I do my morning meditation, I feel it. The room has a high wooden ceiling and has six large picture windows that meet at the top allowing for incredible light. We often see the moon from those windows.
When decorating your home, what inspires you the most?
Shapes and the space between the pieces. I am a visual person, and my eye craves to see open spaces. I love it when strong shapes come together and create a serene space; it brings me peace. When sourcing decor for my home, I kept with the same tone. That way, it’s all somewhat interchangeable, and I love a good refresh.
Which are your most treasured items?
I love this question, but it’s a hard one. Many of the pieces that I have acquired have a story; it could have been a find at a flea market in Texas or an Etsy find of a 1950’s chair from a local university in Croatia. I love collecting and knowing a bit about a piece.
Who are your favorite designers?
Sergio Rodrigues, Lilly Reich, and Titio Agnoli.
What’s next for you?
Creation has always been a part of my work DNA, and I’m taking the next step in that and launching my brand in the home space. It will be an invitation to dwell in a space that extends beyond what’s human. Bringing the outside world in.
A special thank you to Angela Fink.
