Created by French vintage collector-turned-designer Alexia Elkaim, Miaou began with a single pair of jeans inspired by the Parisian high-end thrift shops. Initially designed to fit the tall physiques of runway models, the jeans soon went through a series of experiments, finally settling on a cropped cut which became the signature look of the whole line. The brand combines vintage looks with a modern fit, without compromising the top quality of French classics. The brand was quickly approached by the most important fashion magazines and retailers, and has been worn by a number of celebrities. Miaou’s unique jeans are dedicated to the multicultural woman, who does not belong to a single city.
