LVR Index August 2020 for Men
For Men this month, the top four have stayed put in comparison to last month: Gucci 1st, Dsquared2 2nd, Nike 3rd and Moncler 4th. It’s hard not to take notice that three of those top four are streetwear brands or somewhat influenced and infused with a bit of a street-inspired edge. Despite designers being skeptical of what role streetwear might play within the industry, it’s quite apparent that streetwear is here for good. Amiri falls back just one slot to claim the middle position but continues to stay strong as the brand widens its marketplace and sales soar. Our number six position this month is the master of branding, Balenciaga. Their consistent shoe drops that sell-out in seconds and their celebrity-following makes them experts when it comes to getting their name out there. Best part? The branding matches the quality. Burberry this month decides to enter our Men’s LVR Index at number seven after introducing iconic reusable facemasks that bare the heritage look we all love: check, check, check. The brand continues to head towards a more sustainable future, and it seems that we all love and support this idea. Palm Angels claims the 8th spot this month after announcing a killer co-lab with Clarks Originals that seems to have everyone in the industry waiting on the edge of their seats. In the 9th position is the beloved Alexander McQueen after showcasing to the industry one of their best runway shows for FW20/21 with the romantic outdoors at its forefront. Wrapping up the LVR Index this month is the iconic French Maison Balmain. The brand continuously dresses some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, making them one of the most lusted after luxury powerhouses out.
