Fashion Week Survival Guide: Caro Daur - carodaur1

Best way to beat jet-lag?

Sleep, but no napping! Naps just make it worse.

What are three things you always have in your carry-on?

I always carry my portable charger for my phone, chewing gum, sunglasses, and lots of jewelry.

Go-to outfit for traveling?

Jeans and boots or sneakers.

What’s your secret to looking fresh while traveling?

I always take care of my skin and do a lot of face masks. I love the Dr. Barbara Sturm Face Mask and Calming Serum. But nobody is perfect! It’s okay to have undereye bags and dark circles sometimes.

Fall fashion week or Spring?

SPRING! Fall is always too cold.

Fall trend you are most excited to wear?

I’m always up for anything and everything. For fall I’m most excited to wear tons of neon. I’ve been trying out the biker shorts trend which I find very fun. For style inspiration I like to follow Christine Centenera from Vogue Australia and Julie Pelipas from Vogue Ukraine.

How do you plan your fashion month outfits?

I always want to pack everything because I’m so bad at making decisions. I try to be strategic about it but it really depends on my mood that day.

Best part about fashion week?

I love to dress up and experiment with different styles I wouldn’t necessarily wear on a normal basis. It’s also great meeting so many new people and personalities from all over the world.

What show are you most excited to see this season?

I’m most excited for Prada because they are the trend-setters. Versace and Dolce & Gabbana are really fun and cool as well. They’re always coming up with fresh new ideas for the runway.
