LVR and the VERONESI FOUNDATION together in the fight against breast cancer
October is a month tinted pink for the increased awareness of a very important matter, breast cancer prevention. LUISAVIAROMA.COM supported the Pink is Good project by creating a fund-raising t-shirt. All proceeds from the sale of the special edition t-shirt went to the Umberto Veronesi Foundation and the financing of breast cancer research aimed at finding the cure to the problem that affects five new women every hour. The innovative and provocative design of this limited edition seeks to make the message clear “Check it out! Love your breast. Prevent!” It takes very little to save your life. Love your body enough to examine it.
“The progress achieved and the number of female lives saved compel us to do more and to continue developing campaigns that increase awareness so that no woman, at any age, will ever miss out on early diagnosis because of fear or lack of information. There are still so many people who don’t know, or who don’t know enough, and that’s why initiatives like Breast Cancer Awareness Month are so important,”expresses Paolo Veronesi
Proceeds will be donated to the Umberto Veronesi Foundation in order to finance breast cancer research aimed at finding the cure to the problem that affects five new women every hour.
PINK IS GOOD
A leading project which forms part of the 10-year plan by Fondazione Umberto Veronesi to eradicate breast cancer for good. For the Foundation, Pink is GOOD translates into fostering prevention, which is key to detect cancer at very early stages, and providing reliable, accurate and updated information. Pink is GOOD also means to support research at a practical level, and we do so by sponsoring grants and research projects for doctors and scientists committed to the study and treatment of breast cancer.
Research has changed the existence of thousands of women. Consequently, it must be supported in order to identify innovative solutions for early cancer detection, as well as new therapies and treatments to eradicate breast cancer for good.
