Slowtile & Made in Sipario
LVRSustainable is proud to introduce Made in Slowtile/Made in Sipario, a sustainable and social responsibility collaboration. Born in Florence in 2018, Slowtile emerged from a meeting between the Special Artists of the Social Cooperative, Made in Sipario and the architect Leone Pecchioli. The project combines creativity, freedom, and innovation.

The main aim of the project is to create real job opportunities for the disabled community that can adjust to their needs and ways. The project is rooted in the Florentine community. The artists of the non-profit fill sheets of paper with drawings and colors as a way to let loose their creativity and create something beautiful and one-of-a-kind. These drawings and designs are then glazed and set on terracotta. The artists can then see their visions come to life in something more tangible and long-lasting.
SlowTile is sustainable in the way that they only produce the required quantities without surpluses, they avoid unnecessary waste. Slowtile focuses on sustainability and giving back to the community in a special way.
