LVR at Home: MARQUES’ALMEIDA - 1

We recently caught up with Marta and Paulo, the powerduo behind Marques’Almeida to see how their quarantine is going. Many of us find ourselves scrolling through our photo albums as we day dream of past vacations and future ones to come. For this series we ask some of our favorite designers and fashionistas to share with us where they’d rather be, how they are spending their time, and what’s the first thing they’ll do when this ends.

Where are you currently?
Marta’s parents flat in Porto, Portugal

How will you be different after this experience?
We are going to be able to ignore all the unnecessary noise and focus on what’s really important and what truly drives us at this stage of our lives.

Is there anything you realized you took for granted?
Yes, the help, the work and the caring that some people do for the most vulnerable – it won’t last if we don’t all participate and we have to do more. The other realization has been to find out our friends and family bonds are stronger than we ever thought and coming through loud in a moment like this.

How are you spending your quarantine?
Taking care of our daughters, connecting with our family, keeping our sanity and trying really hard to work in the small small windows when they are both asleep.

A special thanks to Marta and Paulo from Marques’Almeida.
