THE EVENT
On August 10, 2018, LuisaViaRoma and UNICEF Italia hosted the first inaugural Summer Gala in Porto Cervo, Sardinia to support UNICEF’s activities to protect children’s rights worldwide. The unforgettable evening featured a cocktail hour overlooking the sea, a gala dinner, an auction, and after-party. International celebrities, philanthropists and notable guests such as Alessandra Ambrosio, Martha Hunt, and Emily Ratajkowski attended the night and helped raise 3.4 million euros for the children.
The entertainment of the night consisted of intimate performances by UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Ricky Martin, Rita Ora, and Sofia Carson. A live auction was conducted that included a collection of gowns by Siran, photographs of Marilyn Monroe by Douglas Kirkland and pieces of jewelry including a Chopard diamond necklace. The party continued into the late hours of the night with sets by DJ Ruckus and DJ Luciano.
