What is love to you? For many of us love means many things and we feel love for many people from our partners, family, to our beloved friends. This Valentine’s Day LVR celebrates love in many ways: loving yourself, loving your partner, and loving your friends and family. Whether you have a plus one or not, we want you to let love in and embrace it. We discussed what love means, romantic memories, and love advice with three of our favorite muses: Mauricio Corridan, Matilda Djerf, Cass Dimicco and Deon. What does love mean to you?
Loves means committing to someone and sharing everything with them. Love is taking care of someone and letting someone take care of you. It’s showing your weaknesses and allowing yourself to be vulnerable with them.
What is the best love advice you’ve received?
Can’t remember any specific love advice or if I’ve ever been given any, but my advice would be to always listen and try to understand your partner. Communication is the most important thing in a relationship.
How will you celebrate Valentine’s Day this year?
I usually don’t make a huge thing around V-day, as I do think that any day is a good day to show someone how you feel about them, but something which is always a good idea is dressing up and going for a nice dinner. Since this is currently not an option, a homemade meal prepared at home with your loved one and some candles can also be very romantic. Don’t underestimate a low-key plan, these are usually the best.
What is your favorite romantic memory?
We met in Constance, a small but very charming town in the south of Germany located at Lake Constance which is right on the border with Germany and Switzerland. We were both interns for an online marketing company on the Swiss side and from day one we were already living in the same apartment as roommates. One of my favorite romantic memories was when we started dating and we would go for evening walks along the lake, it was so romantic. We both spent the most amazing summer there!
What are you loving right now?
Right now I’m loving everything interior design related. Since we moved to a new apartment a few months ago, we love spending time looking for unique and beautiful pieces. There are so many inspiring interior and deco brands out there. Finding the right pieces for your home is a really fun thing to do. We both love the „HOME“ section on LuisaViaRoma.

Love to me is everything. I literally live and breathe love. Love is the highest power. Love is security, love is respect, love is vulnerability, love is growing together, love is equality, love is patience.
What is the best love advice you’ve received?
To communicate.
How will you celebrate Valentine’s Day this year?
This year we will most likely cook up a cozy dinner at home and spend it with our fur son, Rufus! I’m thinking of dressing up and a nice bottle of wine!
What is your favorite romantic memory?
honestly, there are many. But my favorite romantic memories are the small ones. Like Rasmus giving me a note and a gift with home massage instructions after I’d had a bad week. He had set up a schedule for the evening. That small gesture meant so much to me and was so thoughtful.
What are you loving right now?
Right now I’m loving how we are all coming together through the internet. It’s been a lonely year for a lot of us and I’m grateful to have the ability to facetime people that I miss.

What does love mean to you?
To me, love is when two souls have a deep connection. I think there are so many different types of love but they all make you feel more whole.
What is the best love advice you’ve received?
You have to love yourself first before you can fully love someone else. The relationship you have with yourself will impact how you treat the people around you.
How will you celebrate Valentine’s Day this year?
My husband and I will be on location for our next campaign shoot for our brand, Aureum Collective so we planned a takeout dinner date.
What is your favorite romantic memory?
My favorite memory will always be the day my husband proposed, he worked so hard to make the day magical and I was completely taken by surprise. He took me to Amangiri in Utah which was one of the most serene and unique places I’ve ever been.
What are you loving right now?
Our new home in Miami! I love a change of scenery and after living in NYC for 7 years I’m so excited for this new chapter.

What does love mean to you?
Love means forgiveness, including that of yourself. Love means the goosebumps that meet you at the thought of someone or thing you can’t live without. Love means that gaze you do when you look in the mirror and admire how far you’ve come.
What is the best love advice you’ve received?
You will hurt, you will heal. No one you meet or experience is a mistake, so love fully.
How will you celebrate Valentine’s Day this year?
I will allow myself to feel the love I deserve. I will dance, I will write, I will allow myself to be. A day centered around love is often one we forget that said love pertains to the love we pour into ourselves too.
What is your favorite romantic memory?
— A surprise birthday dinner in Paris. It was summer in Paris with warm winds. We were met with a boat that we ate dinner on as we coasted through Paris and at the hour the Eiffel Tower lit up as we approached, sparkling like shimmering water. One of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever experienced.
What are you loving right now?
I’m loving finding new ways to love myself. I’m loving my solitude, my journey. I’m loving the idea that love is endless, timeless. I’m loving my blackness, my identity, my story. I’m loving the act of loving.
