In order to celebrate International Day of the Girl Child, LVRSustainable and Infantium Victoria teamed up to discuss how they support education and equality for kids worldwide. The two conscious identities speak on their collaboration on the first sustainable fashion game, SEW WHAT?, that will be launched at the Responsible Fashion Series Conference in Antwerp on October 20th. They are working towards making a positive change in the fashion industry and what changes they wish to see in the future.

LVRSustainable & Infantum Victoria team up for SEW WHAT?
LVRSustainable collaborated with Infantium Victoria to present the first sustainable fashion game SEW WHAT?! The game is available as a board game and as an app. This is the first project of this kind seeking to educate the younger generation on choices in conscious fashion.
Supporting women & girls worldwide
LVRSustainable supports women-led business and ethical production that respect women in their supply chain. GOTS Companies, like Infantium Victoria, are monitoring the equal rights for women in the textile industry, valuing suppliers that are women-led. The female sustainable champions are great role models for girls worldwide, inspiring them to pursue their dreams despite all odds. Supporting sustainable fashion for kids brings out smiles all over the globe.

Can you tell us more about how the collaboration between Infactum Victoria and LVRSustainable came to be?
We at Infantium Victoria have always been passionate about fashion. LuisaViaRoma has always been a beacon and a fashion destination for us . When the LVRSustainable was launched it was a clear sign for us that Infantium Victoria would be a great fit. LVR sustainability stands for quality, design and ethics, this is exactly what we align with. Infantium Victoria offers what conscious consumers look for in children’s fashion – impeccable ethics, highest quality and high end design.
LVRSustainable engages with multiple projects supporting education, fair trade and other initiatives improving the textile industry. We are happy to have such a strong partner on our side, and work together towards achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals.
What changes in the fashion industry related to Sustainability do you hope to see in the near future?
Our biggest hope is to see that textile workers around the globe will be treated with dignity and respect. They will receive a living wage and enough means to support their families. We want textile workers to provide for their children. So that children around the globe will have access to education, healthcare and opportunities to fulfill their dream. This might seem like an utopic image. But this future is attainable by every one of us, it just takes a conscious decision to support sustainable companies.
