This holiday season things are definitely a bit different for us all, so we’ve decided to evoke the holiday spirit by selecting some of our favorite fashion curators to find out what they’ve put on their holiday wish list. From their favorite holiday memory to their top 10 picks of what they hope will be waiting for them under the tree this year, get to know our wish list curators of 2020.
Meet Benthe Liem, the Amsterdam-based sweetheart who is not only an innovative content creator, but also a fierce female entrepreneur. From co-owning her own brand to inspiring females worldwide to be as confident as possible, we can’t help but adore our latest Wishlist curator. What’s your favorite holiday memory?
I think that’s Christmas last year. We have a really big family with lots of cousins, aunts and uncles. We decided to go skiing with almost the whole family! We rented different apartments in the same building and spent the holidays in the mountains! It was so much fun. White Christmas is the ideal Christmas for me.
Your favorite gift ever given to you and by who?
To be honest, we don’t really do gifts on Christmas.. that’s because in The Netherlands we celebrate another holiday in the beginning of December where we normally give gifts! But for me the biggest gift on Christmas must be when I am surrounded by family and loved ones. And of course some good food and if we’re lucky, some snow!
Favorite holiday song?
Bing Crosby – White Christmas. A classic.
Favorite holiday movie?
The Holiday for sure! I have seen that movie so many times. I even watch it during the summer months because I just love it so much! But I watched a new movie “The Holidate” recently and I have to say that I really enjoyed it as well.
Favorite holiday food and drink?
I love cheese fondue. It instantly gives me that cosy winter feeling! It is such a nice dish to eat with a group of friends or family. I love cooking so I get very excited to be in the kitchen this time of year. I make my cheese fondue always from scratch and only use Swiss cheeses. But I also love to spice it up sometimes with some jalapeños, or make it more fancy and add black truffle. For drinks I like anything warm and sweet. Like hot chocolate or a pumpkins spiced latte!
Favorite holiday scent?
Hard one.. I am a sucker for scented candles. But my all time favorite must be Pomander by Diptique.
How will you celebrate the holidays this year?
I am not sure yet since the covid measures change a lot here.. But I would love to enjoy a home cooked meal and some good red wine with my boyfriend, parents, brother and sister.
