Kwin – Chinese pop singer, model, member of the all-male group ONER, and graduate of Beijing’s Institute Of Fashion Technology – joined us in Florence to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of LuisaViaRoma and attend the CR Runway show.
He has participated in fashion shows in Milan, and in October 2017, Kwin released his first single “If You Can Feel My Experience” with the group BC221. 2018 was a big year for Kwin. In January he took part in the Chinese reality television show Idol Producer on iQIYI, in August he made his official debut when the “Allergies” EP was released by ONER, and in November ONER was awarded the best new popular group at the Pop Chart Association’s anniversary assembly in Beijing.
Having come from so far away, Kwin told LUISAVIAROMA, that although the long-distance flight was hard, he was able to recover quickly from the jet lag. According to him, the secret to managing long-distance flights is to try to rest well on the plane, even if it means skipping meals.
Since arriving in Italy, everything feels very novel to him. He was particularly impressed by Piazza di Spagna in Rome, and in Florence, he was amazed by the Renaissance art on display at the Uffizi Galleries. So far, he has been deeply impressed by Italy.
“When I was in middle school, I dreamed of becoming a singer.”
Speaking about the idea of becoming a singer, Kwin said, “In fact, when I was in middle school, I dreamed of becoming a singer, because Eason Chan was my idol.”
The trick to a good outfit is .… just to look good!
Many fans follow Kwin’s daily looks. When we asked him what his secret to dressing was, he said, “Just look good! As long as there are not too many exaggerated contrasts in an outfit, I can accept it.” Kwin also has professional fashion qualifications. In fact, when studying in college he wanted to be a fashion designer. During his junior year, he put his ideas into practice, designing many t-shirts and other items.
With fashion changing so quickly, Kwin often buys items online to build and update his wardrobe. He says, “I’m very interested in fashion websites such as LUISAVIAROMA. It is very convenient to be able to buy so many fashion products from my favorite brands, all on the one site, and I recently bought an amazing coat!”
