Seed to Skin skincare fuses the most exceptional botanicals and herbs found in nature, with science for luxurious, beaming skin from the inside out. LVR and Itziar Aguilera took a trip to the laboratory at Relais Borgo Santo Pietro in Tuscany to get an inside look at the line.
Within the Tuscan Estate of Borgo Santo Pietro, lies an intrinsic and almost mystical history of healing. The Estate dates back to 1129 and began as a sanctuary of healing for medieval pilgrims. The legendary tales of the pilgrims, and the villagers – who concocted potions with wild herbs and botanicals from the estate – seemed to be a “match made in heaven” for Borgo Santo Pietro owner Jeanette Thottrup.
Thottrup, an ardent lover of natural remedies, set out to create a skincare line with the mantra of healing beauty. She was determined to create a skincare line that seamlessly emulsified the oil and water of skincare – nature and science. In tandem with a scientific cosmetologist, Thottrup established her skincare line Seed to Skin from their state-of-the-art laboratory at Borgo Santo Pietro. The line is concentrated on extracting the purest botanicals, herbs, and raw ingredients to formulate small-batch, handcrafted products. Seed to Skin provides all the benefits of nature, without compromising the results of science.
Seed to Skin x Itziar Aguilera
LuisaViaRoma teamed up with Itziar Aguilera to celebrate our launch of Seed to Skin on LVR. Itziar, a passionate enthusiast of all things natural, came to Borgo Santo Pietro with LVR. There she immersed herself in the estate’s enchanting beauty and had the chance to experience and indulge in the world of Seed to Skin. She was able to tour the laboratory with Jeanette and get a first hand look at how the products are developed. Itziar spoke to Thottrup about their shared love of clean beauty, how skincare can be the best “me time” of the day and learned more about the science behind Seed to Skin.
