We recently caught up with Barbara and Cathrine, the founders and creative directors of Saks Potts to see how their quarantine is going. Many of us find ourselves scrolling through our photo albums as we day dream of past vacations and future ones to come. For this series we ask some of our favorite designers and fashionistas to share with us where they’d rather be, how they are spending their time, and what’s the first thing they’ll do when this ends.
Where are you currently?
At home in Copenhagen
Where would you rather be? What are you currently listening to?
In our office in Copenhagen, or drinking a glass of wine in the sun, or in a market in the South of France. Barbara grew up in Paris and Cathrine’s father now lives in the South of France.
We are currently listening to: One – Mary J. Blige, U2

What are your favorite pieces from your latest collection?
What was the inspiration for your new pieces?
Hard to say but our Perla embossed leather jacket is a must have.
Collection 12 took inspiration in a sensual and powerful qualities that Spanish and Hispanic women possess, specifically Selena Quintanilla – the woman who defined the Latin music scene in the 90s. To honour the legacy of Selena and to create an atmosphere to emphasize the music, the show was held at The Royal Danish Academy of Music’s Concert Hall. Designed by Vilhelm Lauritsen, the Concert Hall was the perfect backdrop for the collection. The warm oak and teak wood dominated the hall and gave the perfect acoustics for the spectacular music performed live by the Danish Chamber Orchestra. You can see the fashion show on our website.
How will you be different after this experience?
We will value family and friends even more. Don’t take anything for granted, advocate for a closer customer relationship.
Is there anything you realized you took for granted?
Being able to see our loved ones everyday.
How are you spending your quarantine?
Working from home but also starting to think differently about the way we do business. Brainstorming about what we will do after. It has been challenging, but also positive, because we need to rethink a lot of things.
A Special thank you to Barbara and Cathrine from Saks Potts.
