We don’t know how she does it. Multi-tasking mom Nour shares her favorite memories and designers.
Your all-time favorite memory with your kids?
My favorite memory until now with my daughter is our trip to the Maldives. The whole experience was something out of this world, and being able to spend this quality time with her, enjoying nature’s beauty was really outstanding.
How would you describe your style?
In general my style tends to be raw, and a bit androgynous… But it can be romantic at times also – depending on my mood.
Has it changes since you became a Mum?
It has indeed evolved ever since I became a mother. It became a bit rougher, a bit more androgynous. I think this evolution reflects how motherhood strengthened me on so many levels.
How would you describe your kids style?
She’s still too young to have a specific style. However, I make sure her style always fits her age, and is comfortable, so that she can enjoy herself – (kind of laid back).
Your top three favorite childrenswear brands?
Little Marc Jacobs and Stella McCartney for the dailywear since they’re very stylish, practical, and very age appropriate. For more dressed up looks I might be a bit inclined towards Baby Dior.
What are some of the challenges you have faced as a mother?
The main challenge I faced as a mother is not knowing exactly what’s perfectly right in terms of education. There is no mathematical rule here. Being a mother for the first time, the responsibility of ensuring my kid is getting the absolute perfect treatment, development and education was a bit overwhelming. I was scared of doing something wrong, without being aware of it.
How have you overcome them?
I think I overcame the majority of the above just naturally. It’s like an instinct…
What is your favorite memory you shared with your own mother?
When I was 16, I wanted to get a tattoo. I was almost sure my mother wouldn’t accept. To my surprise, she ended up accompanying me to my appointment. I can never forget this day. I think I appreciate such small gestures even more now. Now I understand how important it is in terms of education, the fact that she did not stop me. It made me open up to her even more during my teenage years.
Being a mother is… a superpower.
My kid is … my future.
What message would you like to give other mothers?
There is no stronger being in this world, than a mother. Always remember that. You’re the beginning of every life out there.
