Festival season is fast approaching, it’s time to start planning your outfits. Whether you are going to a week affair like Coachella or go deep into the desert at Burning Man, LuisaViaRoma asked four festival goers for some tips for shining and dancing in style.

Festival Ready? - 3

What’s your go-to outfit for festival season for SS18?
I’m really into matching sets this season! Also, for Coachella it’s always good to have a great pair of cutoff denim shorts on hand to pair with some easy graphic tees.
Any no-no’s for festival dressing?
Don’t mix loud trends, pick one per outfit to do minimally!

Backpack or belt pack?
Typically I love a backpack, but this year it’s all about the belt pack!!
Things to always have in your bag?
Sunscreen, lip gloss, Morphie phone charger, cooling face mist
Best shoes for a festival?
SNEAKERS!
Some advice to first-time festival goers?
Plan your outfits ahead of time, and plan for two a day! The temperature changes drastically from day to night, and you will want to change for the night time events!

Festival Ready? - 2

What’s your go-to outfit for festival season for SS18?
Boyfriend jeans, a cropped tank top, statement sunnies and platform sneakers.
Any no-no’s for festival dressing?
No denim shorts, they’ve been seen so much! No flip flops and glitter braids!!

Things to always have in your bag?
Tom Ford lipstick, my id, my iPhone, hair ties and gum!
Best shoes for a festival?
KENZO platform espadrilles for the daytime and these awesome Laurence Decade platform sandals for the evening.
Some advice to first time festival goers?
The parties sometimes can be more fun that the festival. Wear lots of sunscreen and don’t underestimate day drinking lol.

Festival Ready? - 5

What’s your go-to outfit for festival season for SS18?
My go-to outfit for every festival is a vintage band shirt and a pair of vintage Levi´s shorts, paired with chunky boots and a practical but fun bag like this one from Balenciaga
Any no-no’s for festival dressing?

I think a lot of people totally overdress for festivals. I don’t like when it´s too much. Less has always been more for me and I like to keep it simple and add a twist like a lot of jewelry or some bold shoes.

Backpack or belt pack?
Both are perfect for festivals because they are so practical. I´d probably go with a backpack just because it fits more stuff like a water bottle and a bandana or scarf for the dust.
5 things to always have in your bag?
Chapstick, phone, polaroids, headphones, gum – nothing exciting 😉
Best shoes for a festival?
The most important festival rule is to wear shoes that you feel comfortable in. I think lace-up boots are the best option, so no dust or sand gets inside.
Some advice to first-time festival goers?
I probably sound like an old lady now but as I already mentioned it´s super important to dress comfortable since you´re walking and dancing a lot. Also only bring the things you really need, carrying around tons of stuff the whole day and night is not fun. Drink enough water if you´re going to any festivals in the deserts. and try to see as many artists as possible and stay close to your friends, it can be hard to find each other in those huge crowds haha…

Some advice to first time festival goers?
Don’t try to make it to everything. Pick on or two parties and enjoy them. At the festival drink just as much water as you do alcohol and don’t forget to eat!
